BLAISE MARTINEZ
Martinez is in his first season coaching with the Rebels. A 2012 graduate of Ridgewood High School. Martinez pitched in high school and also played the infield. Martinez as a senior posted a 4-0 record. Martinez and Ridgewood won the 2012 group 4 sectional championship, That was the first championship for Ridgewood High School since the 70’s. Martinez went on to play at Bergen Community College. As a freshman, Martinez posted a 1-0 record with 16 innings pitched and 1 walk, as a Relief Pitcher. Martinez's sophomore season was cut short because of a labrum tear and surgery, which ended his playing career.
Martinez started coaching at the age of 19, Martinez coaching experience ranges from Independent baseball, College Summer leagues, to Highschool. Martinez is an Assistant Coach At Don Bosco Preparatory Highschool. Martinez is also a pitching coach & strength trainer at Teels Baseball and Softball facility. Martinez, has establish himself as great communicator and understanding how to coach players on field and in the weight room
Martinez Graduated From Montclair State with a B.S in Exercise Science and a M.S in Physical Education & Sport Administration.
