David Jacob

Coach David Jacob is a 2008 graduate of Vernon Highschool. After graduating, Dave had the privilege of receiving a chance to play baseball at the Division I level at Monmouth University. In his freshman year, after transferring from infield to outfielder, he appeared in 49 games, earning 29 starts in the outfield. He also started in 20 of his final 21 appearances of the season, and was tied for sixth on the team with his .320 batting average. He was named NJCBA All Rookie team in 2009.

After Monmouth, David transferred to Sussex county community college earning 2nd team All-American honors, while still holding various school records.

Coach Jacob played his final two seasons attending Ramapo college. His junior year he collected 82 hits - second in the nation, leading to a first team All-American selection.

Following his baseball career, Coach Jacob returned to Sussex County Community College to coach for two years as an assistant. His experiences playing, as well as coaching, allows for great combination for young players to excel both on and off of the field.
