DOUG LICITRA

Licitra is in his first season coaching with the Rebels. A 2011 graduate of Ridgewood High School, Licitra posted a .365 batting average with 10 doubles, 5 triples, 5 home runs, 22 RBI and 22 stolen bases as a senior captain. He was named to the All-Big North Liberty Division First Team and All-Big North Second team. Perfect Game ranked Licitra as the second-best 3rd baseman in New Jersey for the 2011 graduating class. Licitra went on to play Division 1 collegiate ball at Saint Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, PA. He is well versed at advanced infield instruction, baserunning techniques, and swing mechanics.

Following graduation from college, Licitra joined the United States Army where he eventually gained entry into the Special Operations community as a member of the 75th Ranger Regiment. Licitra is a combat veteran and a graduate of numerous schools including U.S. Army Airborne School, Ranger Selection and Assessment Program, Small Unit Ranger Tactics, and Ranger School, which is the Army’s premier leadership program. Licitra desires to apply leadership lessons learned through military experience into practical use in order to help players reach their potential both on and off of the field. Licitra also has a graduate degree in Sports Industry Management from Georgetown University.
