Nick LaPorta

Coach Nick LaPorta graduated from Stockton University in 2017, with a Bachelor of the Arts degree in Communications. Heading into his junior baseball season at Stockton University, he made the transition into playing first base from his usual tenure as a middle infielder. He did not make an error in 228 chances for a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage and had the second-most chances of any NJAC player with a 1.000 fielding percentage. Coach LaPorta earned captaincy his senior year, where he started all 34 games, committing just one error in 503 chances.

Coach LaPorta attended Pequannock Township High School, where he was a 4-year varsity baseball starter as a pitcher and middle infielder. He earned first team All-Conference, All-County, and All-Group 2 as a senior.

During his college career, he played summer baseball for the Pequannock Patriots (Morris Majors). Coach LaPorta also has experience coaching Pequannock Senior Legion and working at Gold Glove Academy for Rutgers University stand-out and Rawlings Gold Glove Award winner, Mike Bionde.
